Approach
Condom Sense was founded in 1990 in Dallas, at a time when conversations around sex, safety, and health were filled with fear and stigma. In the wake of Magic Johnson’s public HIV-positive announcement, we opened our doors as the city’s first safe sex store, offering condoms and sexual health products to help educate the public during the height of the AIDS epidemic.
At a time when sexuality was still taboo, we embraced the name Condom Sense as a statement: sex should be smart, safe, and shame-free.
Today, our mission has expanded. The heart of it remains the same: we’re here to create a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender, orientation, or experience level.

Over the years, Condom Sense has grown into the largest adult toy retailer in the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex, with 11 locations serving communities in Arlington, Plano, Addison, McKinney, Lewisville, and North Dallas.
We were the first of our kind in Texas. We remain proudly independent and locally owned. Unlike large chains, we focus on personal connection, curated selection, and a shopping experience that feels comfortable from the moment you walk in.
